We made it back to the caravan about 2am this morning. Wake-up call at 7am. We stayed in a fantastic Hampton Inn & Suites east of Conway, AR. All was going well and then it happened. Max Kidd, who is driving a gorgeously, stunning 1939 Cadillac LaSalle, stopped. Seems as though his electric fuel pump has gone out. So the tow truck is here and towing us back to his repair shop. Max, who had the good sense to pack an extra fuel pump, will either replace it himself or the shop guys will do it. Once that's done… we'll be back on the road. Not sure if we're headed through Fort Smith or down to Mena, AR where there's apparently a Street Performance shop.
I don't know much about all this stuff but the mention of the Street Performance shop made all the men's eyes do crazy thing like mine do when I see a gorgeous pair of high heel shoes on sale at Nordstrom's or run into an amazing dress sale at Bloomingdale's or Von Maur. So I say lets go to Mena and let the guys have their fun. Good news about that is we'll be driving through the Ouachita National Forest and that makes me smile just thinking about it. I never met a National Forest I didn't love. Trees rock. So do tow trucks. Be back later with more news.
Love this!! Love to hear where you are going. Happy you are doing this with your Dad, making memories to last a life time!! Love u Shelley
